CCFPA sends big 62nd birthday greetings to our member, the Sky Blues 1987 F.A. Cup winning captain, Brian ‘Killer’ Kilcline. Sky Blues fans will remember well how  ‘Killer’  made a spectacular cameo reappearance back in Coventry on that memorable February weekend in 2016 when he attended as our ‘extra special guest’ among forty other ‘special’ former CCFC players at his first ever Legends Day, having also made his mark at the Jimmy Hill Memorial Celebration at the Cathedral the previous evening.

More recently  Brian was back at the Coventry Cathedral memorial service for his Sky Blues ‘gaffer’ and friend, the late John Sillett (left) and was again in evidence interviewed in the media prior to the Sky Blues F.A.Cup semi final game at Wembley with Manchester United in April 2024.

‘Killer’, who captained CCFC in their successful 1986-87 F.A.Cup campaign in a a memorable year for club and City, proudly held the trophy aloft from the Wembley Royal Box in front of a sea of Sky Blue supporters when, that May, we beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 after extra time in what many outside Sky Blue land also agree was one of the best ever finals.
