Ronnie Farmer in the Sky Blue

A substantial appreciation of the life and footballing career of fifties and sixties Sky Blue legend Ronnie Farmer who sadly passed away earlier this month aged 86 is now loaded onto this site. Ronnie who was always a stalwart friend to the Association and was one of only four CCFC players that saw the rise of the club right from the Football League basement (Division Four) through to the top flight from 1958-68.

Ron Farmer RIP

As with all our Full Members who have passed away since joining from the Association’s foundation (2007-2022) these appreciations -there are some eighty obits now – are brought together in our ‘Gone But Not Forgotten’ section.

Mostly written by CCFPA Chairman Jim Brown, who is CCFC’s official club historian, they can all be found by selecting this option under the ‘Players’ tab above. The obit was originally just published on Jim’s own blog ‘Jim Brown’s Journal’ (below) which can also be accessed by clicking here.
