Members News: Adam & Devon Help Brakes To B’ham Senior Cup Final Triumph!
Fresh from beating Kidderminster Harriers 2-0 in the league last Monday further plaudits go to Leamington who beat Stourbridge 3-1 last night in the Final of the prestigious and venerable local competition, the Birmingham Senior Challenge Cup at Villa Park! In a great week for the local club the Brakes’ win enabled them to retain the trophy they won last time out!
The Brakes had two ex Sky Blue youngsters in their side, both Association members, Adam Walker and Devon Kelly-Evans!
The Association sends special congrats to our two members on their win, especially as Devon got the first of Leamington’s three goals with a sublime 26th minute finish, receiving the ball wide, dinking past one challenge and superbly rifling a shot beyond Price into the top corner of the goal.
Dan Turner and James Mace netted the Brakes other goals and Reece Styche’s overhead kick comprised the consolation for the Glassboys.
For the record the two teams were:-
