LegendJune2016 front pageCCFPA’s June edition of our members’ newsletter ‘Legend’ has just been delivered by our printers, Spectrum Print of Solihull to our distributors Jigsaw  It is hoped that Issue 21 will therefore be posted out to all of our membership towards the end of this week to arrive on their doorstep, at the latest, early next week (our overseas members may have to wait a few more days)

Legend’s editor, CCFPA’s Mike Young tells us that the 21st edition of our newsletter is the ninth in the new style full colour eight page magazine format.  As usual, it is packed full of news, views and reports of what we have been up to since our last issue at the turn of the year, ruminating on the ultimately disappointing second half of the season for the Sky Blues after such an exhilerating start. Plenty of room for optimism remains as the Association continues to go from strength to strength. We centre-piece the memorable February weekend when the City and Club which he held dear bid a final farewell to Jimmy Hill in front of the world’s media. We also feature Legends Day 2016 when the Sky Blues rose to the occasion by thrashing Bury 6-0 overseen by a giant picture of JH and watched by our ‘Fantastic Forty’ special guests (drawn from more than five decades of CCFC’s former players). There is plenty of other stuff in Legends 21 recording CCFPA’s other events and activities since the last Legend was published in January, as well as a tribute to four other former CCFC players who have departed for ‘Sky Blue Heaven’ in recent months.

CCFPA Darker Logo 2012All our current Full, Honorary, Associate (AM) and Corporate (CM) members will receive their copy so please make sure we have your up to date address and contact details if you have changed them since last telling us. Please note this will be the last issue AMs and CMs will receive automatically under their current subscription.  We will be contacting all current AMs and CMs fairly soon to invite them to renew their subscription for 2016-17. If you are not currently an Association member and would like to join us either as a new Former Player member or as a first time CM or AM, details of the membership process and the benefits of joining us can be found under the ‘Join us’ button on the top right of this site. Look out too on this website in the next few weeks for details of our ‘early bird’ offer for 2016-17 renewals!!

We hope that there is something for everyone in Legends 21 and that all will find it a good read. Watch this space for news of when the magazines are being sent out by us to our membership!
