CCFPA Legends 2016 Programme FrontCCFPA member Brian Kilcline is one of the 40 CCFPA ‘special guests’ arriving on Saturday to participate in Legends Day 2016. However, ‘Killer’ has one additional duty to all the rest of the veteran CCFC players of yesteryear – he will be sharing the press box with the BBC CWR matchday live commentary team adding his unique insight and analysis to their interpretation of the play as it unfolds.

Kilcline B. (Brian'Killer')A rare visitor to the Ricoh our 1987 F.A.Cup winning captain will be interested to see the performance of the current wearers of the sky blue and white stripes which had achieved such an impressive first half to the season under gaffer Tony Mowbray. Like all Sky Blue fans he will hoping to watch the team overcome its current mini-recession (with four matches on the trot without a win) and two losses on the bounce at the Ricoh. With a squad augmented by a number of transfer window signings the Sky Blues will be looking to put in a top notch performance in front of so many club heroes of the past and cement their top six place against opponents Bury.

Mogga’s men, potentially assisted by two CCFPA members (goalkeeping coach Steve ‘Oggie’ Ogrizovic on the bench and (if chosen) midfielder Gael Bigirimana on the bench/pitch) will want to see the ‘Shakers’ (featuring former Sky Blue Leon Clarke) firstly shaken and then well and truly ‘buried’ by the Sky Blues and a three point haul excavated.

The rest of the ‘fantastic forty’ * former stars of the past (and their guests) will be watching the game from comfortable seats in front of the Ricoh’s E.ON lounge where a record number of Sky Blue fans will have shared a three course lunch (and plenty of other entertainment) with them.  The full ‘Ricoh Roar’ is sure to be raised full blast at half-time when our former players covering seven decades of playing prowess are welcomed onto the pitch for the half time parade and traditional ‘team-photo’

Everyone (over 18) is also invited down to the Casino after the game when as many as possible of the ‘fantastic 40’ will be invited onto the stage of Lady G’s for a friendly Q&A knockabout culminating in the traditional stirring rendition of the Sky Blue Song with the Sky Blue Army chorus all conducted by CCFPA’s Billy Bell!
