CCFPA Vice Chair Billy Bell signs Steven up last season

CCFPA member and former Sky Blue manager, Steven Pressley, has just been announced as the new gaffer of Fleetwood Town. This means that ‘Elvis’ will be in charge of the Cod Army at the Sky Blues next League One fixture away at their Highbury ground on Saturday!

Tony Mowbray’s predecessor managed a win rate of 32% in his 100 league games as Sky Blues’ gaffer between March 2013 and February 2015. Mogga’s has won  11 of his 24 League One games with City so far (46%) since coming to the Ricoh in March 2015.

Steven who had recently turned down the possibility of managing Dundee United expressing a desire to stay in England has therefore quickly capitalised on that decision. Pressley still currently lives in Warwickshire and has been assisting Southampton’s scouting network as well as (it was announced recently) accepting the manager’s role as Scotland Under-17s manager for their upcoming UEFA European qualifiers against FYR Macedonia, Bulgaria and Italy.

The Association wishes Steven well in his new roles but obviously starting only on Sunday morning next!
